Humic Acid Improves the Resilience to Salinity Stress of Drip-Irrigated Mexican Lime Trees in Saline Clay Soils

Organic fertilization improves soil fertility and ameliorates the deleterious effects of accumulated salts in for sustainable agricultural production. This research was carried out on thirteen-year-old Mexican lime trees to study effect humic acid (HA), applied as (10, 20 or 30 mL·tree−1) foliar (0.1 0.2%) applications, fertility, tree growth, productivity fruit quality. The experiment conducted during 2020 2021 seasons a randomized complete block design twelve treatments with three replicates two each. Soil applications HA were performed once twice month Marsh, May July, respectively. enhanced soil’s N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu B availability microbial activity, addition improved canopy size, leaf chlorophyll nutrient contents reduced proline levels. total yield number per increased Fruit weight, juice soluble solids also increased. best results achieved combined (30 (0.2%) HA, which indicated great potential alleviate salinity stress growth productivity.
